Next Meeting – Cross-site BIM and CAD Collaboration

How cloud enables cross-site BIM and CAD collaboration

Unfortunately, both BIM and CAD applications were developed to work in a single location, not across locations – especially locations with great distances in between.

This session will demonstrate how the company was able to take advantage of BIM and CAD collaboration across locations without having to change deliverables, workflows, or processes.

Next Meeting: Cloud Computing – Advance2000

Our next meeting is scheduled for May 1st!  Please join us as Will Leger with Advance2000 leads the presentation.

How do AEC firms, with one or many locations, use IT resources in our Data Center to save time, money, and increase productivity?  Imagine being notified instantly when someone moves a column rather than much later when it is more costly to fix. With owners, designers, engineers, consultants, and contractors looking for ways to improve business efficiency and lower costs, learn how current technology can do just that.  Advance2000 BIM Cloud Computing enables your firm to have greater speed, agility, high performance, redundancy, security, scalability, collaboration and overall efficiency.

In this presentation we’ll review some of the AEC BIM challenges, define what cloud computing is, and look at how Data-Center resources can be used to provide “Desktop-as-a-Service.”  Case studies will be reviewed to show real life examples, and we’ll conclude with a live demo – we’ll access a cloud desktop and show the cloud in action!
